#2 Label
#² Label
What is a label?
Why is it important?
How does it rule the world?
Note: Labels are what we use as a landmark of everything so that we can easily remember them.
Note: Labels combined with belief alter the original state of something unto the label we give it.
Note: Labels without belief are nothing.
3 Types of label:
1.Main label: The exact subject mostly name or calling ex. Robert, house, horse.
2.Secondary label: As the world implies this is the label, we give to the majn subject mostly traits or characteristics ex. noisy, dirty, fast.
3.Resulting Label: This is the sum of all the secondary labels ex. bad/good, beautiful/ugly, beginner/expert.
Ex.
Main Label: "Robert"
Secondary label: "Asks a lot of questions", "Open minded", "Loves learning new things"
Resulting Label: "A young curious boy."
Note: Labels don't necessarily needs to be one word only.
Note: If a label can be used to easily remember and understand something, it could also be used to deceive people or spread misinformation.
Note: Labels are like a piece of paper and belief is the glue that will make it stick onto anything.
The labeling mind: our brains default to assign labels onto everything, it's possibly a trait that we get from our ancestors so that we can easily spot threats in our sorroundings. Thus, increasing the probability of our survival.
Note: President, hero, human, animals, good or bad are all labels that we believe and that gives birth to their existence which is tied to language itself.
In conclusion: Labels are useful to our everyday life. They allow us to see things, as the labels we put to them are, so we must make sure that the labels are correct and intune with the subject we are putting it onto. So, if we wanted to see things differently, all we need to do is change the labels we put on them and stick it with the glue of belief.
